Well...all I`m gonna say is that Manchester United has done it yet again even with 15 players 13 missing due to injuries and credits to Owen...yes the once prolific ex-Liverpool striker has finally...yes hopefully regain his form for Manchester United.
It`s an amazing performance.
Michael Owen fired himself spectacularly into the World Cup reckoning last night as the England striker's first hat-trick in four years secured a 3-1 win at Wolfsburg in the Champions League for Manchester United.
Missing 15 first-team players, Sir Alex Ferguson's team pulled off a remarkable victory in Saxony to finish top of Group B and set a new Champions League record of 15 away games without defeat.
But the night was all about Owen, who sent a clear message to England manager Fabio Capello, who has only capped the 29-year-old once in his two seasons in charge.
With midfielders Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Ji-Sung Park playing in defence in Germany, United were on the back foot for much of the night but took the lead through an Owen header just before half-time and went on to score twice late in the game after Wolfsburg hit back through Edin Dzeko.
It`s all United the moment Owen scored the 2nd goal for United. Now good news ahead, Nemanja Vidic has been cleared to play for this Saturday match against Everton. Look`s like things are looking good for United in Europe and Owen.
