Well what a world cup isn't? The hype now gone but the streets and the mamaks are still bustling with the fact that Spain won that not so thrilling match. Yes the match was not thrilling I know it coz I has watching it live at the World Cup street party in Bangsar partying VIP style courtesy of Shakir Ameer.

A question that everyone is asking is why not the big four? Brazil Germany Italy France well its all gone. Kaka lackluster performance Wayne Rooney well you can't rely on one person to win the cup Messi definitely not the Messiah and I am just going to forget Italy and France players as they are not worth mentioning.

Instead we got the Golden Ball winner Diego Forlan my buddy mentions he is a complete player and I have to agree yes he is. Bringing Uruguay to the 4th placing losing to Germany 3-2 and honestly what a match that was. Beautiful football played by both teams.

We also saw underdog like South Korea Ghana US shining throughout the competition. These teams no one would thought of going far. We also saw teams like Slovenia Switzerland showing the world that they are not far behind.

The downside is of course the standard of referee and their calls. I do hope that technology will finally be applied for future world cup matches.

It's a good world cup and a wake up call for some of the teams.
